PROUD MAMA

I LOVE my children, everyday, all day. But some days I’m SO SO PROUD of them. And let’s be serious, my children are 2 & 3. They aren’t doing anything spectacular, but it’s all the little things that add up! Am I right?!

Anthony started PreK 3 in our town this September. When he was 19 months old we started Early Intervention with him for his speech. He continued with therapy for 13 months. After EI, he went to a nursery school, 2 mornings a week for socialization. He was evaluated with the town program and accepted. He now goes to school 5 days a week (2.5 hours a day) and gets speech 2 days a week. He is already speaking so much better and it’s only been 3 weeks! And he has already been able to pick a prize for his good work/behavior! He is a kind, sweet, cute, hyper and amazing young boy.

Patrick has been improving on sleeping. Although not sleeping through the night every night, he wakes up and goes back into his bed willingly. He is still a monster. But often just very loving and snuggley. He understands so much about the world without it being explain to him. He overheard a conversation I had had with my mom about my Uncle Tommy and later in the day he asked me about Uncle Tommy and how he was. He JUST turned TWO. I hope his perception and compassion only grows and stays with him.

These boys are often crazy. Often rambunctious. Often getting injured. So when we go out in public I tend to keep them in the stroller so that I’m not running after one and having to leave the other one – I mean, it is physically impossible to be in 2 places at once. But recently, I have been letting them roam and explore some. At the grocery store, the zoo and apple picking. They are both full of personality and like to be the leader, so it’s a work in progress.

But I’m just so proud of their personalities, progress and compassion. They make me so proud to be their Mama. My two little loves.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my Momming post
